Clara's "Family"

I am often asked why do we call our customers "Family Members" and why is the blog called the "Family Table?"  The simple answer is Clara.  Growing up in her family restaurant, Clara had many found memories of customers who she simple knew as "aunt or uncle" so and so.  These were not blood relations but rather individuals the family came to know and love as if they were family members.  

Both of Clara's parents left their parents, siblings, and extended family members back in Italy like so many other immigrants of their time.  Their Kedzie Street Beer Garden (later known as Celeste) became a gathering place for others who also left their families behind in order to make a better life.  

In our second video, Clara recalls "family members" from her childhood as well as from Clara's.  Our goal at Clara's is to make all our customers feel like a "family member'!
